HDFC Bank — Savings account blocked from transactions | Unable to perform Debit/Credit

Address:HDFC BANK LTD GROUND FLOOR SHOWROOM NO 2 ARISSA AVENUE S NO 58 2 1 AND SB 1 KHARADI PUNE 411014

I had applied for an address change for my savings account, but failed to collect the address intimation letter, as I was out of town. Due to this the bank has locked my account. Also, customer care considered it as a fraud/suspicious and blocked my account. But i had called to query not to block my account. So now my HDFC a/c is locked. Debit card is blocked, net banking is blocked and I'm unable to perform any transactions.

Please note that if you are able to withdraw/add money to your A/c. successfully, then the restriction is on the Beneficiary A/c. to receive money. Else, the restriction is on your A/c., and therefore, kindly contact your nearest branch to regularise your A/c." . CAN SOMEONE IS HDFCBANK TEACH their customer teams what exactly is meant by " regularise your A/C" since no one is able to explain

HDFC RM Vickey Mourya is clueless and has wasted two weeks of mine already with no solution to resolve the issue. Also, the nearest branch is unable to resolve the issue as I'm currently located away from my permanent address for work purposes

Due to this my salary wont be deposited, loan emi will trigger to the account and bank will not allow to do the transaction. So will pay the penalty for that emi as well.

Now who is responsible? Is it the customer care representive/ bank/ myself who had called them for a query. Life made hell as no one is able to help - branch rep says need to check with backend And phone banking ask to visit branch. Money stuck as not able to pay vendors and service providers. Worst is no one is ready to own acts of branch . overall Pathetic state . No escalation matrix published, Not sure what to do as found respective teams highly disintegrated . Bank reps openly ask to visit branch to get this resolved as I am just available for them .

WHILE i am writing this complaint I still believe HDFC is an esteem entity of out country and hopeful someone from bank will look into my concerns and will be able to resolve asap,

I request Branch/ Phonebanking/ Nodal or anyone in HDFC to pls resolve this as now long weekend is also over.

Hello Anay,

I had submitted a request as you asked. But still my account is under ‘restriction’ and the staff is clueless about ‘regularising’ my account.

It’s been a month full of harassment for me as I am not able to withdraw my salary and hence unable to pay the vendors.

Apparently they flagged my account with a memo.
And to remove the memo a representative from
HDFC verified my address in person by visiting my home, thus resolving the issue
Took around 3 weeks time, as these ### were not able to figure out the root cause in the first place.
