HDFC Bank — in partnership with cheats, issuing a policy but not sending the original policy document

1. I am a premier HDFC bank customer having NRE, NRO, FD's with HDFC bank, Indore and tulsiani chambers, mumbai and policies with HDFC Life and Demat account and shares trading with HDFC Securities. 2. In sept 2013 i was approached by Mr. HL Mehta mobile nbr [protected],[protected] claiming to be a HDFC officer and he offered me a policy where he would ensure excellent returns. 3. I agreed to this policy in the name of my wife Gopa Dua client ID 50630965, proposal 16491855. 4. Medical of my wife was done in Dec 2013 and i paid first premium on 10.12.2013 by HDFC bank cheque 000056 from my NRE account[protected]. 5. Till march 2014 i didnot receive any further intimation from HL Mehta or from HDFC Life. 6. On 7th april 2014 i wrote the first email to HDFC life [protected]@hdfclife.com 7. HDFC life didnot understand that i am an NRI and cannot come to their offices for sorting out trivial matters. 8. HDFC life kept communicating with me trying to amend the email ID from which i should send them my complaint. 9. On 9th July we again complained in writing to [protected]@hdfclife.com, [protected]@hdfclife.com [protected]@hdfclife.com, [protected]@hdfclife.com about non receipt of original policy. 10. on 1st AUG 2014 we received a final response from Swapnil Kadam of HDFC life stating that the policy document was dispatched to our residence address on 26.12.2013. 11. on 02nd Aug we wrote to HDFC life that we donot accept their final response as we have not received the original document and cannot read the terms of the policy. We asked for Proof of Delivery signed by our family member. My wife Gopa Dua and daughter Shivani Dua are residing at the address and we donot have any live-in servants. 12. on 14th Aug we received a phone call from HDFC life stating that Proof Of Delivery will be sent to us. 13. On 6th sept 2014 we got an email asking us to escalate our grievance if we were not satisfied. 14. On 8th sept we emailed to Mr. Ravi Chikkam stating that we have still not got the original policy document and also we are not getting Proof Of Delivery as claimed by HDFC life. Also on 8th Sept i sent this escalation of complaint letter by courier to Apollo Mills compound address of Mr. Chikkam 15. On 20th Oct 2014 i have sent reminder to Mr. Chikkam and [protected]@irda.gov.in that we have still not got the original policy document and also we are not getting Proof Of Delivery as claimed by HDFC life. It is very easy to send the POD by scan copy as email attachment. 16. we have also written to Ombudsman, bhopal but without receiving reply.
