Re: Fixed deposit bearing nos TDR No. CDB048969 Dated 28TH December 2013
Dear Sir,
I had made term deposit with you bearing TDR No. CDB048969 and dated 28TH December 2013 for a sum of Rs 1, 25, 000/- and for a period of twelve months @ 12% per annum. The aforesaid fixed deposit matured on 28TH December 2014. Thereafter along-with the term deposit receipt post dated cheques were issued by you for a principal sum of Rs 1, 25, 000/-and towards interest a sum of Rs 15850/-. The aforesaid cheques were issued towards payment of the principal and the agreed interest amount for a period of twelve months. However surprisingly on presentation of the aforesaid cheques after maturity the same were dishonored by your banker as stop payment instructions have been issued to your banker by you.
I fail to understand that being a reputed organisation you are indulging into such mal-practices by defrauding people at large. The fixed deposit was made upon your assurance that on maturity the principal along with the accrued interest would be paid to me but unfortunately you have deliberately and with a malformed intention issued stop payment instruction to your bank without any reason whatsoever save and except to cause wrongful gain to yourself I hereby call upon you to liquidate the outstanding sum of Rs. 1, 40, 850/- along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum within a period of one week from date, failing which I shall have no other alternative but take appropriate legal steps as against you.
Thanking You,
Your’s faithfully,
