There is a company called Helixo Technology who offers work at home data entry jobs. Their mode of operation is to telecall you repeatedly and offer Rs 18000 for typing 300 pages of text from pdf format to MS word. To enroll you have to pay them Rs3500 in advance 500 as registration and 3000 refundable after you work with them for 2 months. They pester you till you register and pay the advance. Then they send you a text book which you have to transcribe into MS word within 15 days.
We got a sequel server handbook of 750 pages. When we called for help on their helpline they dont answer. They telecallers become rude the moment they get your money.
When the job is submitted(within 15 days) they wait for a week and send an email that since your work was not good, your contract with them is cancelled. They are very rude when contacted.
This is a means to get your money. There are some basic questions that have to be answered.
1. Why would this company need to transcribe a textbook into word format?
2. There are pdf to word converters available which can do this job for them easily. Why pay someone else to do it?
3. What are the rules about using some authors book by transcribing into editable formats? What about copyright infringement?

I have made a cyber crime complaint at Police Commissioner's Office @ Chennai, Cyber Complaint Department, I suggest as he complaint is lodged now, all affected persons can make a complaint to Cyber Cell and try to retrieve their money from this fraud company.
