Was initiated on 01 june 2020. As has been directed by the feedback from this case submission online, i had contacted the hp whatsapp support on +[protected] to confirm the case but the response was not good. Subsequently i have contacted hp over the toll free number[protected] and was heard and a new case number was given: [protected]
Subsequently i have been contacted by an agent called mr. Azad singh and he wanted to know why i am telling that the whatsapp support team was not helpful compared to the voice call team. He wanted to know who has helped me and told that the laptop was under warranty. Then subsequently he shot me an email asking "what i expect from them". I have replied that my laptop is covered under warranty for three more months and i needed replacement of the battery. Since then they have not replied me on email. I had contacted the voice call number numerous times and finally they gave the number of the hp service manager in my region and subsequently they send me a quotation. As per the terms of my warranty: they should diagnose the problem, provide the materials and fix it onsite. But they send a quotation with battery price and service charge of rs. 750, totaling to rs. 9148.13. I send an email that the system is under warranty. Now they send a second quotation without service charge but including the battery price. I have again emailed that my system is under warranty and now they claim that battery is not covered under warranty, orally. They are not ready to provide this by email or any chat service as it will be a record. They have provided the quotation under another no. [protected] and closed the original case number [protected], claiming that it is resolved. I have contacted their whatsapp chat support to know why the case was closed and waited for two hours for an answer and couldn't get one.
As per hp document no. C05843717, on hp business notebooks - understanding battery warranties for business notebooks, my battery comes under "long-life, non-removable battery: a long-life battery that hp has deemed not customer removable has a warranty that matches the notebook it is embedded in. Additionally, the battery is covered under any care pack purchased for the notebook up to a maximum of 3 years." hence it is covered under warranty but the company is not ready to obey the warranty conditions.
Please do the needful to provide service as per the warranty conditions.
