AC in the car suddenly wasn't giving sufficient cooling. There are no failure alarms in the console. When I took the car to Service in Hyundai Motor Plaza, Alandur Chennai, Service advisor took the car for a review and he checked and suggested that there is a cooling filament/Condenser failure in the car and it got to be replaced. He also said that this is prone in such models due to the thin model of the filaments used in the car. The part got covered in the Extended warranty which I have purchased, however the overall replacement service charges are quoted around 6000 INR approximately.
Why Should I pay the service cost for the poor quality of the material used by the manufacturer which has to be replaced with in 4 years of purchase of the car. If Hyundai knows there is a quality issue in such parts, those items should have been recalled and replaced with free of cost. I have used a smaller model car from Hyundai[Getz prime Crdi. ] which has no such issues faced even when drove for 12 years approx 125000 kms. Now raises the credibility issue with the manufacturer and the quality of products used in the vehicle.
