[Resolved]  Hyundai Motor India — Harassed by Pawan hyundai ghaziabad

This is story of very loyal customer of Hyundai and who bought his first and last car from the very same company and kept his loyalty. Today in my entire family we have more than 8 Hyundai cars and all recommended by me. I am writing this to inform the top management of Hyundai the dictatorship of the dealers & service centre. What I feel today that its not the dealers but hyundai’s reputation at stake. It goes like this: My car (Verna) met with an accident on 30th Of Aug, 2013 and was sent to pawan Hyundai for repair under insurance claim from Bajaj. The car was left at the service centre on 31st of Aug, 2013. After the survey from the insurance company it was confirmed to me that it would take around one month to repair the car and I would get the same latest by Ist week of Oct which was eventually stretched to 20th of Oct & then finally for 31st of Oct. It took almost 2 months for them to repair the car which hardly had any major losses except the air bags and I was always told that it was Hyundai fault as they have not been able to provide certain parts. I needed the car to go to my home town on Diwali and requested them to handover the car before that. It was promised by the service centre that i would get the car on the due date that is 1st of Nov 2013. When i reached to take the car I was surprised by the answer of the service manager that my claim has not been processed because insurance company has not been able to verify my driving licence and which would additionally take another 2-3 days to process. Because of all this i could not go to my home town. I still kept my patience and called the service centre to get the status after 2-3 days and the situation remained same. It was then confirmed to me that after getting DO from the insurance company they will immediately release the vehicle within 4-6 hours. After following up from 1st of Nov to 30th of Nov it was confirmed to me that the insurance company is still in the process of verifying my license. It was then I took an stand and after regular follow up with the service centre manager & insurance people it was told to me that if I can get the license verified myself they would process the claim within 24 hours. It was such a pain & agony and I was feeling so harassed by everyone I took the train to Jharkhand-Bokaro to get my license verified. I spent gud 2-3 days and gave a written request to the DTO officer for the verification of my license. It was confirmed to me that I can leave as they will take some 6-7 working days to check and verify the same. Finally on 5th of Dec, 2013 I got the reply from Bokaro DTO office and a verified report on the desired format required by the insurance company. Finally after long follow up and regular visit to insurance company office I finally got my claim approved on 11th Dec, 2013. A DO was sent to the service centre on the very same day to release the vehicle. Although I Could not go on the same day to take the vehicle and decided to go the next day. As planned I went to the service centre very next morning(12th Dec) and to my utmost surprise I was told that I cannot get my car till they get the payment cleared from the insurance. I tried speaking and explaining the service manager that if a DO is issued they are suppose to release the vehicle but he clearly told me that he has instructions from the top management & accounts that my car should not get released till all the payments were cleared. I was like ok I have waited for so long and 2 days would not make any difference so I said fine I will come on 14th and requested them to show me my vehicle atleast. On my request they showed me the vehicle and I was surprised to see the work done on the car. I was trying to figure out that what have they done with my 4.1lac rupees!! I told them on there face and showed them more than 50 faults after they keeping the car for more than 3.5months with them. Had I got the same thing done from elsewhere I would have saved both time and money I believe? Even the road side garage would do better repair work than what I saw. I was feeling cheated & was very disappointed with the kind of work done. I always had that respect for Hyundai which got lost in few seconds just because of carelessness of some stupid dealer. Still after seeing my reaction the service manager took the responsibilities to fix all the points I raised and assured me to give the car by 14th. I came with my share of money, despite they not giving the car I still deposited one lack of payment assuming that I have to anyways pay.
Days passed and again on 14th Dec, 2013 I reached the service centre and met with manager to confirm the status if I take the car. They tried to give me all kind of story’s that there is still some work left in the car and give us one more day to fix so that we can satisfy you to our best. It was later I got to know that since the payment has not come yet from the insurance company they are trying to delay the entire process. It was then I again spoke to the Insurance people that what exactly was the problem. They told me that as per the process since they have already issued a DO which is equivalent to a DD and my claim is cashless so the dealer should have ideally given the car to me the very same day. Still I kept my patience and again went on 16th Dec to the service centre assuming that I would get my car today in any case. The situation remained unchanged and I decided to speak to the owner of Pawan Hyundai and as expected I got the same reply from him aswell . I was so much disappointed by the behaviour of all the people dealling with me felt cheated by all. I still again requested them to show me the car atleast. The story of cars condition remained same except few improvements. The paint had started cracking at several places. The car had caught with rust at parts which were replaced by the service centre. All the doors were not in there alligment. Seemed that an inexperienced engineer has been put to work on my car. I could not bear at any more and decide to leave everything on my destiny and left the service station and decided not to ask them for my car ever till they call me. Still out of anxiety I again called the insurance people to know the status of my claim payments as I knew that the service centre would not give me the car till they get the money. I was again surprised to hear from them that the payment has been approved long back but since they were supposed to get one KYC document from the service centre which was received to them today only( 18th Dec) and so the payment would be released by tomorrow.
After this I decided to file a complaint in consumer court against the dealer for all the harassment, Pain & agony I had to go through.
Its upto you ur company how u take this but this is rediculas.

I agree with you...pawan hyundai is the worst Hyundai dealer i have ever met...I think they must close there workshop
