[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — asking for payment when the no is not being used by customer

I am not at all using the post paid no [protected] since june 2017 as the sim was lost. I informed the same to idea i requested for complete deactiovation. As advised by them i made a payment of rs 594 on july 20, 2017 and requested for complete deactivation. This was accepted on the same date of 20.7.2017 (Copy enclosed as annexure i).
Now they are again asking for monthly payment and saying that the bill is being generated in their system.
Why should i pay for the service i am not at all using.

I had made request for deactivation on 20th july 2017. As suggested by the idea executive to clear the dues I made payment of Rs 594 to clear all the dues and also requested in writing for decativation on 20th July 2017 with a reminder that i would not be held responsible for any bill being generated thereafter. now Igot a call from mob. [protected] to make the payment again as the bill was generated by the company even though i didnoy use. I am am very surprised how the persons are threatening and asking for payment for the services not provided to consumer.This is the mistake made by the company as the sytsem was npt updated bill generated, when the request was made on 20 th july clearly mentioning that consumer be not held responsible for any bill thereafter for the no [protected] as it was lost and informed to idea through voice calling as well as email. mail dated 29th july 2017 11.04.04 IST

the request for deactivation was made on 20th july 2017 and not on 29th july 2017. the reply was also received from idea on the same mail from [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com on the same day.
