[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Changed my postpaid plan without my intimation and now not ready to deactivate the number

I received my Feb '14 months bill of 665/-(Mobile -[protected]), which was way above my usual monthly bill. my plan was of 99/-monthly post-paid. when i inquired about the huge bill amount to the customer care, i was surprised to hear that my billing plan was changed in February and they were arguing that i had requested to change the plan to 999/- monthly.then i sent an email at care.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com and after that i received a call on 14th from [protected] - Prashant, he directly said that as i told to change the plan nothing can be done about the situation no refund or adjustment can be made to my bill. he was not even ready to listen that i haven't requested any change in plan. he said that i got a call from outbound guys and i authorized the change of plan. i said then please provide some proof, he didn't had any answer as expected. I also told that this is a usual trick used by the Outbound sales guys to meet their sales numbers, but no one was ready to listen. on 15th i got a mail stating that my complaint has been resolved and closed to my surprise. I again reverted on the mail, and then i got this reply on30th March mentioned below... “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. This is in continuation to your e-mail regarding bill plan clarification. We wish to inform you that the services of your number have been restricted with effect from 29th March 2014 due to non-payment. The MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 bill plan is active for your number with effect from 12th February 2014 as per your request. Moreover, if you want to deactivate the same kindly send us with the line of confirmation along with the bill plan which you want to activate. We request you to furnish the outstanding amount due for your number as on date to restore your services. Should you need any further assistance, please call our Customer Service help line number [protected] or email us at care.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com” I again reverted on this mail and then got a revert on 2ndApr “Dear Customer, Greetings for the day!We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. This is in continuation to your e-mail regarding bill plan clarification.We wish to inform you that the bill plan MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 plan is active for your number with effect from 12th February 2014.Please be informed that an amount of Rs.500/- can be waived off as a onetime goodwill gesture against youraccount.Further, we request you to reconsider your decision for disconnection and give us a chance to serve you better at all times.Moreover, if you want to deactivate the MUM_Idea Unlimited 999 plan kindly send us with the line of confirmation along with the bill plan which you want to activate..” And then i replied on 3rd with the payment receipt of the post waiver amount attached to the email, below was my last email for which i haven’t received any reply till date. “Hello, so the baseline is you guys won't accept your mistake because your statement "TheMUM_Idea Unlimited 999 bill plan is active for your number with effect from12th February 2014 as per your request." Clearly states that i requested the change of plan and you guys are doing a favour by waiving off part of my bill amount. In that case i have paid 166/- towards the bill amount, and have attached the copy for your confirmation. AND PLEASE DEACTIVATE MY CELL NUMBER[protected] IMMEDIATELY, I AM IN NO MOOD OF CONTINUING WITH YOUR SERVICE.” Requesting you to look into this matter, and this is not the first time i’ve had an issue with IDEA. I have already ported my other 2 numbers and deactivated 1number of Idea, i also tried to port my this idea number “[protected]” which is in dispute but they declined my request without any reason. Just because i rudely told the verification guy from IDEA, that i am totally pissed off the idea’s services and hence i want to port it.This did not go well with him it seems and my request was declined. I just want to deactivate my number and don’t need their service any more Anil Kumar [protected]@hotmail.com
