Hi,
On 12th august, morning around 11.30 am i got a call from [protected] number and they told that you bought a citibank credit card recently and also first month just completed, but you didn't redeem your reward points and it had expired anyway it is your first month so on behalf of you we from citi bank side will redeemn your points and convert in to currency and will keep it in your account.
They told my credit card number, date of birth and mobile number correctly (Don't know how they got these details, and they are telling that just now you bought a citibank credit card and just one month completed).
All my details are correct, so i believe that this call is from citibank only. And they told that will start the process and you will get the sms and let me know the sms details. Like that they asked me twice to thrice. Once call had over i got the sms like amount 4770 has been detected from my account. Then i called citi bank customer care, they told that 19080 rs has been detected for idea payment.
Past 20 days i keep on talking to customer care from citi bank and finally on auguest 31st one lady attend the call from citibank and she told that will talk to backend team regarding your complient and let you know, please hold the line. After 2 mins she came back to the call and told me that transaction had blocked no need to pay the amount from your side.
I just got relaxed and for confirmation again i called on 5th september, and one guy attended the call and now he is telling that u should pay the amount and regarding your compliment it will take another 10 day to investigate and i started asking about previous call details he disconnected the call.
Questions:
1. Why citibank is behaving like this? One time they are telling that no need to pay it and another time they are telling you should pay this amount?
2. How that fraud call guys came to know my personal details and he told just one month before only you got citibank credit card and first month bill generated, my card number, date of birth etc?
3. There are lot of compliant against like this citibank and idea payment and i searched a lot and almost all complient are not yet solved from citibank or idea payment side why?
4. Please any sincere person from citi bank side give me the answers for my question honestly and please play the recorded customer call details and let me know why you told that day, your transaction for idea payment had blocked and no need to pay the amount?
Now i had a doubt against citibank also? What should i do?
