My machine suddenly stopped working one fine day. I raised a complaint through its toll-free number. The service men came and after briefly checking the machine commented that the machine's PCB is gone. He then said, as your machine is very old (7 yrs only), and thus its parts are not available. So you need to buy a new machine. This one is gone and no use. He also said as its warranty period is also gone by, they can't help further. To which I said, I am pretty ok to pay for the parts but kindly arrange it from the company as it's only a 7 yrs old machine and it was pretty costly. Then the technician said the company has stopped making this model so you need to buy a new machine now as we can't help in this case. It was a shock for me as I was expecting him to repair the machine. I am not ready to buy such a costly machine again. I asked him to get the part at any cost & repair this machine asap. But he was adamant and said you can call the company yourself but we are helpless.
My query is when I have bought this high-end machine from IFB, doesn't it become the company's responsibility to arrange its parts also. If the part is not available then it becomes their responsibility only to arrange for an alternative for the customer. Either they should get the part or they should replace the machine with the new one. Where is my mistake and why should I again invest in a new machine? The machine itself was very pricy & hefty.
I cannot buy a new dishwasher at any cost. IFB should provide me with a solution asap. Please help me in this case.
