We had a very bad/worst experience with IFB services, I bought IFB washer dryer online from Amazon and for Installation a technician from a IFB franchise near our place got the installation request. We were using the IFB 5 KG washing machine at the same address for last 16 years. The technician mis leaded us with wrong information saying that you have voltage fluctuation as this is old construction and this will harm the product as the different washing programs supported by this appliance needs different voltage input and in your flat its above that and is fluctuating and there are definite chance that this device will be damaged and in this case IFB will not provide the warranty and he removed our earlier IFB power cutter saying this is of no use will not help and will not protect the appliance from voltage fluctuation damage. He said company do not handle this voltage fluctuation in the costly appliance and not provide any reference of this thing as adding the support in device will increase the product price and that model will not have buyers, so they sell this stabilizer separately and we educate the customers and for Customers benefit we ensure that they additionally add the stabilizer else the device will definitely damage and company warrantee will stand void, IFB intentionally do not mention this anywhere in there product details. So these are all cross selling skills they use to pull more money from customer by misleading and taking advantage by creating a sense of concern and fear for the hard earner money they put on these costly appliances. Cross selling is not wrong but misleading by providing wrong information is definitely a crime.
Same he attached a hard water softener device to the water inlet saying that this device is used for maintaining required water pressure for this appliance. At your floor the water pressure is not as required. I asked him how he know water pressure is low as we never had any issue in last 16 years with the previous IFB washer. He said those old appliance water pressure requirement were different, this new one will not work properly and by just touching the water flow he can tell that. Later we got his point as he knew that we were using IFB product for last 16 years and still there was no issue, that means there is no hard water problem at our place and that was the reason the old machine was in good condition, so he manipulated and provided wrong information to sell that product by saying it will maintain required water pressures which is a must for the device to work properly.
We later checked with our neighbors using washer and dryer they said both these are not required and they never had any issues for last 5 years with there new appliance, as the voltage input and water pressure are same in both our flats.
I later saw similar posts in review that exact same things are sold by these technicians to all with similar tactics above the cost of this costly appliance with wrong information misleading customers and claiming it's a must for product to work properly else company will not help you in case product damage.
Above that he sold descaler powder and liquid detergent above the market price and IFB list price. The Rs. 50/- descaler package for Rs. 200/-. Also I called directly to the IFB customer care and checked the IFB Stabilizer cost for the same model he sold and it was Rs. 3250/- and he sold at Rs. 4850/-. The IFB customer support executive on call only suggested to me to drop a mail regarding same but the response I got the response on mail was the price is genuine please keep your invoice in safe. The same customer support of IFB confirmed twice when I confirmed is the price for this model correct, she repeated the model number and price as Rs. 3250/- with GST and said you should drop a mail regarding this. But when I escalated through formal communication in written to be on safe side they are defending themselves now. This is ethically not correct, they are fooling the customers.
Above all this the technician who visited for the installation asked me to show the feedback SMS link I received on my phone after they closed the ticket using the service completion OTP. I didn't knew there intention behind that when he asked as he kept me busy by engaging me in other talks and he took the pic of the SMS from his phone. The next day when I tried to access that link and submit the feedback, I got the message the feedback is already submitted thank you. I called the technician and confronted him, how come he submitted the feedback on my behalf, its the feedback to be submitted by the customer and it was received on my registered mobile number and you intentionally asked to show the SMS and took the pic and submitted the feedback without customer knowledge, this is totally unethical and wrong and this falls under cyber crime category. He just tried giving excuses on that. I informed this to there service center In-charge but that is of no use as they all support each other. For them that technician did an excellent job by cross selling with higher price plus a positive feedback for there service center. In a way they all helping each other. But this falls under cyber crime category by unknowingly with a wrong intention without customer knowledge use the link received on their registered phone and submitting a positive feedback for themselves. In todays world they know this digital feedback for them means a lot to get more business and perks for them too and they use these kind o[censored]nethical malpractices with customers trust. Is this not a crime? Beware and vigilant and don't let these kind of people take advantage of your trust.

The complaint mail that I sent to the customer care based on the suggestion I got from them only, they only replied to support there franchise ignoring the unethical malpractices they are doing. They totally ignored the point I mentioned about the feedback submitted by intentionally wrong means. Also my request to not assign my service tickets in future to that franchise. For testing I created a service request and it was again assigned to the same franchise, which they closed without even contacting me. But I should have right as customer to select the service center I want my appliance to get serviced, IFB is not even providing that support and not even listening to the concern and request. How can I take services from a party I know are a big time cheaters, how can they not provide wrong information to me and may replace working parts so that they can generate a good invoice for there franchise and perks for them. They are not concerned at all for customers, they take these service requests as opportunities to make money. This is very wrong practice and in India this should somehow be stopped. Other countries if you see they have ethics and they will not make fool of customers, they will do genuine service by providing right information.
