Dear sir,
1. my registered mobile no is [protected].
2. i have taken ifb washing machine amc on 27 jul 16.
3. my washing machine started giving trouble about a month back (cb tripping off after some time of operation)
4. after lot of calls the ifb service person turned up. he made the machine working. he said i have also changed your belt so pay me 950 and 350 for cleaning solution. total 1300. i checked the belt and found it absolutely in good condition. service person said its ok if you dont want to get the belt changed. i enquired about the cleaning solution. he said that was also optional.
5. next day i again had problem with washing machine. this time the drum was rotating only in drying mode.
6. again after lot of call to the ifb service certer, their person turned up. he checked the machine thoroughly. he made a list of three item, which he said have gone bad and he will get the components next day. he said all the required parts are covered under amc. i just asked him about the belt. he said belt was good.
7. despite repeated calls, no one turned up next day, another day and then a week... two weeks.
8. we made calls to mr anjan kumar (branch coordinator) [protected] and mr rafeeq (engineer) [protected].
9. mr rafeeq agreed to come if we paid him transport charges for drum (which he said required replacement) of rs 500. our house is inside the bengaluru city and it takes 200 rs even from the farthest end. so 500 seem to be a big amount. on enquiry mr rafeeq said the part will come from goa, and so the transport charges are more. we had a word with mr anjan, he said the part is there in whitefield, it will go to wilson garden for checking then it will come to your place. also the bad part coming out of machine need to be transported back to ifb. he said if servicing person and engineer is coming to your house, you will have to pay him something. after this he slammed the call and did not pick the call thereafter.
10. we were confused and called customer care. during the conference call with mr narsimha, mr anjan and self - mr anjan said that now he will not be charging us for transport and that he was sorry about disconnecting the call.
11. about an hr later mr rafeeq came to our house. he did not have any drum with him. i was surprised that till now he has been asking for transport charges of drum, and he has not come with the drum. on enquiry he said your washing machine drum is good.
12. so far so good. he said motor has melted. the belt was bad so the motor ran without load and got melted. i said that the motor is rotating along with drum in dry mode. he showed me a torn belt. i was surprised how can the belt be torn so badly as we did not use the washing machine from the last visit by ifb service person's visit. (last visit i have inspected the belt along with service person form ifb).
13. mr rafeeq changed the motor and said machine is ok now. on checking i found the problem still persist. the motor (as he removed the belt to drum) was only moving in dry mode and not in washing mode. he thereafter changed a contactor and it was working now.
14. i requested if he has new belt. he said he does not have any belt. i requested to check his bag if he can find one belt (that would have made my maching working). he said he does not have any belt and he had only one belt which he has used in his visit to some other place.
15. i was sure that my belt was not torn. so i requested mr rafeeq if i can see his bag myself. mr rafeeq unwillingly agreed.
16. i found a belt in his bag. mr rafeeq said this is of a different washing machine. i agreed as it was different. mr rafeeq again said he does not have any other belt. then came my belt from his bag. mr rafeeq was without words. i took a photo of both the belts, which are exactly same in color, shape, size, width and length. i told him pls wait for me, i will change my clothes and come along with you to the service center. mr rafeeq at this point of time said he has to attend other customers and did not have time left. i said i will not take 2 min to change clothes and come.
17. mr rafeeq also took my good belt along with him.

I took amc for ifb to have peace of mind. i spend money for amc so that i dont have to pay everytime, but the sevicing person (whenever they have come) have tried to make money by unfair means. this time he was caught red handed after i found my belt in his bag.

I was in constant touch with mr narsimha when this incident took place. i also have the pics of both the belts with me.

My washing machine is still not working after almost one and a half month of effort. i have two kids and it becomes difficult to manage without a washing machine. you are requested to intervene.
