The local technician came and advised that the front lint collector is leaking and the motor is sparking. Another four more weeks the washing machine will be unusable. If there is anyone reading this please reconsider buying IFB front loading washing machines. My unit is 3.5 years old and is under warranty; however, each replacement takes 3-4 weeks for parts to reach an important city like Trivandrum being the capital of Kerala. So if I add up the five component malfunctions over the last year I have lost almost 16-20 weeks of my washing machine's full functionality. This is close to half a year. Case numbers as far as I have kept my personal records can be provided to demonstrate the integrity of my claim.

This is the poorest support i have received from a reputed organization such as ifb. My ticket was closed one day prior to the actual date of delivery of the repaired machine. Upon delivery i was asked to unload the machine from the auto-tempo due to lack of manpower at the regional franchise that was servicing the machine. When i refused the delivery was moved to the next day. At the time of pickup the franchise complained that due to low margin on warranty servicing and asked if i could pay for the washing machine pickup for overhauling at their facility.
Latest status is that it has been running but upon delivery a hose was missing and when asked they mentioned that the hose should have remained connected within the machine to capture bubble formation and it was due to unknown reason it was disconnected (Maybe poor installation) that dripped the water onto the motor causing it to be completely replaced.
Please never buy ifb. This is a 3.8 year unit and now they are encouraging me to take amc. I plead with others reading this never buy their units especially their units that sell less in number. I am sorry to write this but we as a family suffered a lot. If you look at the washing machine it looks like an aged machine.
The only person i would like to give some credit is to the local ifb manager who helped me push component replacements and service pickups.

I am also writing this for the benefit of any families returning from abroad with more than two children and settling in India that the experience I had was beyond belief and acceptance compared to most Western countries. Remember I am not talking about a small unit but a Rs.50000/- unit with failed sensor board, failed control panel board, failed lock sensor, leaking lint collector, and most important a corroded motor emitting electrical sparks.
Ifb is fraud company, I bought IFB 9 KG washer 7 KG Dryer 4 years back for Rs. 65000 and it became faulty. Ifb commitment was to provide 10 years spare support(big sticker pasted on machine claiming 10 years spare support, photo attached) but they refused to repair the washin machine saying company is not manufacturing spares and will not support. I logged complains three four times. I got area manager Santosh who committed to me that he will arrange 50% discount on new machine if I buy. Now after one week, either his number is always busy or he doesn't pick up the call. I file case in consumer court, they are fraud and cheater
