I wanted to share our experience with IFix India.
We had a broken screen on a 2017 Macbook that we wanted to repair and they offered (a) new screen replacement with 1year warranty for 35k or (b) refurbished screen with 6 months warranty for 25k. We went with the new one since we couldn’t be sure of the quality of the refurbished one. However I couldn't tell if it was a new one or not and I had several questions to the technician to find out how to tell if it was a new one. I didn't get a satisfactory answer.
The screen looked ok initially but after just 3 weeks o[censored]se, it started showing vertical lines and no display. They took it back to check and said that we somehow had physically damaged it. We had not done anything that would cause a physical damage. We strongly believe the part they replaced with was faulty and it just stopped working one day.
They kept insisting that we caused the issue. I escalated the issue and their GM, Vishwa called. He said that he was trying a few options, but ultimately refused to replace it with no cost to us even though it was just 3-4 weeks old screen. They wanted us to pay 20k more to replace again. We couldn't go with it as we did not want to spend that money on them- again only to see it fail again. I don't think we'll ever go back to them. Just wanted to share this experience so you are aware.
