Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that occurred during my recent train journey from Agra to Durg. I had booked a confirmed ticket with PNR No. [protected] for the journey but boarded the train at Bhopal, a station between Agra and Durg.
When the TTE checked my ticket after Bhopal, he marked me as absent, stating that I hadn't boarded from Agra, the originating station. He threatened to take action against me, claiming I was traveling illegally. This behavior was shocking and distressing, given that I had a valid confirmed ticket for the entire journey.
As per Indian Railways rules:
- *Railway Rules, 2017*: "A passenger holding a confirmed ticket is entitled to travel from any station en route, provided the ticket is valid for the journey." (Section 5.2, Passenger's Behavior and Conduct Rules)
- *Indian Railways Passenger's Guide*: "Passengers with confirmed tickets can board the train from any intermediate station, subject to the ticket being valid for the journey." (Chapter 5, Boarding and Reservation)
The TTE's action of marking me absent without valid reason is unjustified and against the rules.
I request that you: look into this matter and take necessary action against the TTE for wrongful behavior and povide clarification on rules regarding boarding from intermediate stations.
Journey Details:
- Train Number: 12410
- PNR No.: [protected]
- Date of Journey:[protected]
- Boarding Station: Bhopal
- Destination Station: Durg
I hope for immediate action and resolution. Please let me know if further information is required.
