I purchased jaguar wall mounted WC (JAQ CNS 963NS W/MTG) on 17/12/2021. On 13/4/2022, its seat cover broke as one family member sat on it for using the toilet (photograph of the broken seat cover attached). There was absolutely no misuse or mishandling of the product. The breakage has apparently been due to some defect in the desired level of the sturdiness of the product as it has been incapable of performing the task it has been designed for.
On a complaint (Complaint No. 00467492 dated 14/04/2022), the jaguar service personnel inspected the product on (14/4/2022) and bluntly said that the company did not take responsibility for any breakage in the product no matter it was mishandled or not or even if it was due to any manufacturing defect . He said that it could be replaced upon the payment of Rs. 3450.
The Area Manager, Jaguar ( ph [protected]) was also contacted in this regard, but he also bluntly said that he could not do anything in this matter.
I sincerely seek the intervention of the higher Jaguar management in the matter as the breakage has not been caused by any misuse or mishandling or any installation defect, but due to some manufacturing defect in the product at the point where it broke.
Keeping in view the above, I request for replacement of the seat cover free of cost.
An early response in this matter is requested.
