I am a regular member of jio insurance scheme from year 1. The scheme is into its 3rd year and in every year insurance provider has been changed.in the fy 2017-18, our insurance provider has been star health and allied insurance company limited. I had to admit my mother in the smt. S. R. Mehta & sir k. P. Cardiac hospital today on 17 july 2017 to perform angiography. I had applied for cashless facility. I provided all the procedural requirement, and to my surprise the sanction came in with 50% co-pay. Though i have been hearing with lot of harrased consumers in the hospital that jio policies are bad and not paying back customers even hospital staff admitted the same. I have been paying insurance premiums for 3 years regularly and when i need the policy to pay its due its as good as just cheats away. Request jio to intervene and proves its existence for its members.

My humble suggestion to JIO, please look into co-pay system. The insurance company (now Star health and earlier ICICI Lombard) exploit this clause and make the JIO members suffer a lot. In-spite of providing the documentation as required by insurance companies they deny the legitimate claims. As an individual the JIO member may not be in position to fight with giants like star health or ICICI Lombard and finally gives up in frustration and unfortunately JIO has to face the criticism in spite of doing good work for its members. Should you need I am ready offer my services to support this cause but please ensure that co pay system is eliminated from the system and leaves no ambiguity in settling the claims. A sincere requested by troubled JIO member (troubled by ICICI Lombard). Having said this I would like to appreciate JIO for doing good work in various fields besides insurance.
