This is regarding the unnecessary collection of OPD charges from customer even after doctor informed need not to pay.
We visited on 08.03.24 to Urologist doctor at 1st floor OPD, during our last visit to doctor a week back for my mother, doctor advised to do a test and asked us to show only the date of the same test done previously before doing the new test. Since we did not carry old reports with us doctor told to bring and show the report next week.
Today i carried the old reports to hospital and asked the billing staff at first floor that doctor want to see only the date of the previous test done hence i need not to pay and asked her to ask the doctor about the same before collecting OPD charges from me. But the billing staff Mrs. Gauri was so rigid, she was not even interested to ask the doctor and didnt take a bit effort to go to doctors cabin, she even didnt allow me to ask the doctor and unnecssarily argued with me on the same. She said she will not allow me to meet the doctor untill i pay OPD charges and collected charges from me.
when i met the dorctor and showed him the date of previous test done and When asked, Doctor told me why did you pay? you need not to pay, take your refund from the staff.
Because of this behaviour from Mrs. Gauri i suffered and wasted my energy and time at hospital. She behaved rigidly and gave it a reason of hospital protocol. This is the act of bahving arbitrarily and giving it a name of hospital protocol. I am sure that Jupitar protocol is not to harrass customers. But staff is ruining hospital name just because of their rigid behaviour and naming it a hospital protocol.
I request hospital management to please look into this matter, take action and warn her so that she will not harrass the customers unnecessarily in the name of the hospital. Was this information helpful? |
