I Rajesh Shekhawat, admitted in Jupiter Hosptial Baner-Balewadi on 2nd Jan 2024, MR No 226675 for medical surgery of spine. At the time of admission estimated cost informed INR 2, 99, 748. My surgery get done on 3rd Jan 2024 under gipsa-ppn package. The hospital has billed of INR 4, 24, 668 against the estimated cost of INR 2, 99, 748. The insurance company approved amount of INR 2, 87, 874 after considering surgical discount of INR 95, 958 as declared in the bill. The insurance company not approved INR 40, 836 which was related to Doctor's visit, medicines and MRI charges in addition to gipsa-ppn package. INR 22, 890 was mentioned in the bill for MRI charges as per the rate list of Jupiter Hospital the actual rate was INR 12, 700
When the insurance company not approved the MRI charges along with Doctor visit and medicines this amount of INR 40, 836 was paid by me then as basic principle the final bill was to be rectified after deducting difference of actual MRI charges of INR 12, 700 which is to be charged by patient those not covered under any insurance policy.
The desk officer of discharge cell took INR 1, 36, 794, out of which INR 95, 958 was refunded by the hospital later on.
You are requested to refund the sum of INR 10, 190 on the basis of excess amount Jupiter hospital charged for MRI, when the claim of bill amount of INR 22, 890 was rejected by insurance company.
Thank You
Yours Faithfully
Rajesh Shekhawat
