Date of the incident - april 3rd kutchina marria 3bdl stainless steel burner burst out and i was thrown away from the stove for about 6 m far by my kitchen cabinet door. I had raised a complaint to them via [protected]@kutchina.com on may 3rd after the visit by their engineers gopakumar and srinivas from chennai. Still now the complaint is not resolved I have this gas stove when i installed my kitchen cabinet in the year 2006 by mamre kitchen, t. Nagar, chennai. my choice was to go for an imported hob as i don't want to compromise on safety and specific to german since, i am aware they are strong on safety aspects. The stove has been working fine, except for the auto ignition which was also inspected by your engineers and since replacement is costly i intended to use the stove with gas lighters. During this year on april 3rd -2016 when i was preparing the breakfast, there was a blast in my stove and i was thrown out by the door behind my cylinder and hence succumbed very minor injuries. We have quenched the fire immediately, since i have ventilation in the door for the cylinder this avoided the cylinder to be blown out. I raised this complaint to kutchina toll free and the engineer (Gopa kumar) visited on 8th april and commented that the l connection (From the stove to the cylinder is damaged which would have caused gas leak and blast) he made a comment that the stove is 9 (+) years old and hence this could have happened. Disappointed with his comments raised to the senior person srinivas and he said that this is due to the issue which could have been caused when i replace the gas tube connections. I replace tubes once every month cautiously, he commented that is not required and said once every 3 years replacement could be done hence not an issue with the stove at all. Now i want to further escalate to have clarity since when this stove has damaged due to blast, i have still purchased kutchina glass hob hb3gb dlx spending 18, 000 rupees (I am still confident on the safety aspects on german manfr) i wanted to validate if the shelf life of the stove is 8 years i don't want to have this new stove with me (As mentioned by your service engineer) please clarify where in the safety manual or in your website you have mentioned that the shelf life for the stove is x years and consumer should change the gas tube only once every 3 years??? When i had invited your service engineer for service earlier during may 2015 why did they not inspect the weakness in the l tube connector??? I wanted immediate attention to my query compensation for the poor quality of the old stove which caused a blast (Touchwood iam alive now, by gods grace) confirmation on the shelf life of the stove, if it is less than 8 years i wanted immediate cashback of my purchase of the new stove confirmation on the safety manual that the gas tube only need to be changed once every 3 years, (As against the one that i have been changing only once every year so total only 10 changes which has caused to break the l connector) Was this information helpful? | |||
