I noticed in the first week of January that the camera of my Lenovo Yoga laptop is not working. The laptop was under warranty and therefore I requested a repair through online support.
After thorough investigation by the Lenovo team it was informed that the camera/display unit of my laptop needs replacement. Accordingly, parts were ordered and on 19.01.2023, I got a call for the same. As requested, the Service engineer visited my office and checked my system in detail by reinstalling the driver, checking software parts etc. He also concluded that the camera/display is required to be changed and opened the system without me taking any back up etc. After struggling for an hour he told me the display unit he has brought is not compatible with the motherboard of the system is short circuited due to his error and need to be replaced. I requested him that he may get the new display till then i will work without a camera but he told me that the motherboard has got short circuited and the system will not work. This made me insane since all my important work related data is stored in the system and it may cost me the job. He assured me that the parts will come in a day or two and he will replace the same by 22.01.2023.
Thereafter I waited for two-three days but the parts have not yet arrived and were replaced. Neither the person Mr Rajdeep (Lenovo Service Engineer) is picking a call nor the Lenovo office from where he came is picking a call and giving any assistance.
Since Last four weeks I've been calling customer care and they are just giving details that parts are ordered and in process of arrival.
I'm suffering a lot because of the delay in repair of my system and it's a sort of harassment to me. In case lenovo is not able to repair the damage done to my laptop, i would request to replace the same with the same specifications and everything else same.
