Zonal Officer LIC of India Mumai (Maharashtra) Sub: Misbehave and Harassment by staff of Satellite Office of LIC, Sawantwadi, Dist - Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) Dear Sir, My self Deepak Parab, Resident of Madkhol, Tehsil - Sawantwadi, Dist - Sindhdudurg (Mah) - 416510, taken a LIC policy “Jeevan SARAL” of sum assured Rs. 2, 50, 000 and policy No[protected] through LIC agent. Installment mode of policy is yearly and last year I was not made payment of installment ( 2014) for Rs, 12010/- due to financial problem. On the day i.e. on 28/10/2014 I approach to you above named satellite office to inquiry about the policy status. I personally ask the madam who was in office about status. She said you should be check the same from cash counter clerk. Thereafter I stand in queue of cash counter. When my number was came I ask cash counter clerk to check the status of policy. He again send back me to madam as the policy has been closed. Again I approach to madam and said her to give me correct status of policy. so that I can deposit installment amount at counter. That lady kept me waiting for half an hour and started to feeding new policies in computer . After an half hour again I request her to do help. that time she ask another person of office (office attendance) to check about policy status. The office attendance said I will check and he gone out of office to do another work and no body can help me. Sir I want to inform you that, this lady purposely kept me in waiting . Finally I went out from office gone in Kudal branch which was 22 kms away from this branch and confirm the status form Thesil - Kudal Office . where was the payment due for Rs. 25432/- which was suddenly deposited on same date in Kudal LIC branch . You can check the receipt against above policy. Sir It was not good thing . I am sorry to say that but this is very disgusting and painful that the staff appointed by LIC of India, the biggest Insurance Group of India, don’t know how to deal with the customers, they misbehave and harass the customers despite the customers are ready to give them the complete support to solve the problem if some mistake has been occurred from whom so ever. I request you to please get this matter resolved on the highest priority within a week’s time else I would have to approach to the Consumer Court. And please take a serious action against that lady which was neglect such thing, so that in future no other customer would suffer and image of the LIC will not be hampered anymore like it had been in my case.
