A policy[protected] that i had purchased in lic on single premium in year 2006 was matured on 27th may 2015 @ lic branch 115 in cp, new delhi. there was no communication whatsoever from lic during the course of the policy whether to do with the administration charges or on the policy maturity date e. t. c and it was my initiation to reach them a day before the maturity to comply with the formalities.
On reaching them due to the delay in remitting the maturity proceeds, lot of surprises were thrown in like 1) retrospective effect of a regulation for policy issued much earlier. 2) restricting the opt out to compulsory re investing, 3) administration charges adjusted without intimation 4) undercutting on upfront disbursement e. t. c.
The branch manager gave me two options: either to accept for upfront disbursement with 3% deduction on the matured amount or fully payment after a month. i had opted for full payment with out any deductions and waited for over a month and now there is response.
The lic website as well as the customer support desk are of no help and the branch telephone number is not available with the lic auto complaint tool.
The concerned staff @ lic branch is either on leave or does not respond to calls. is this customer friendly service that the prime minister of india talked about in his recent maan ki baat program??? Was this information helpful? |
