In this connection, with due respect, I submit that I booked a ticket with Lufthansa Airlines on July 4, 2021. The booking confirmation code is MIWORU. The flight is from Delhi to Mumbai to Frankfurt and then Belgrade. The original flight was supposed to take off on July 28, 2021 at 09:40 pm from Delhi. However, Lufthansa unilaterally changed the said reservation on July 05, 2021 and the take off time has been changed to 08:50 pm from Delhi. First of all this take off time doesn’t work for me. Apart from this, the Government of Serbia changed the entry requirements on July 09, 2021 as they introduced a mandatory quarantine of 7 days for all the passengers who’ll enter Serbia after July 9, 2021. This change also doesn’t work for me either as I had a connecting flight from Serbia to Canada which got cancelled. I can’t quarantine in a country where I am not aware of their language, demographics and currency. Thereafter, I put multiple requests to Lufthansa Airlines to provide me a full refund for the ticket. However, all my requests and emails are being ignored by Lufthansa airlines and all my efforts are going in vain thereby causing me mental tension & harassment. They have not responded to any of my queries. Kindly, help me to get me my hard earned money refunded as Lufthansa Airlines changed the take off time and the Government of Serbia have changed their entry requirements.
Furthermore, while booking the ticket, I was deceived by misrepresentation by Lufthansa Airlines as they falsely advertise on their website that they would refund the unused part of the fare. Surprisingly, after booking the ticket, I’m being told that they consider unused part of the fair as taxes and not the General Ticket Price. They should advertise it properly on website as according to any customer, the whole fare (General ticket Price, taxes, fees, surcharges etc.) remains unused until the checkin counter gets open for the outgoing flight. Also, I’ve requested for refund of my money well before the take off date.
With this mail, I humbly request you to get me full refund of my hard earned money as I believe that it is highly unfair on the part of Lufthansa Airlines for advertising inappropriately & fraudulently deceiving their customers. Was this information helpful? |
