Mahindra And Mahindra — My new xuv300 car not covered in warranty by the company. | |
Dear Sir/madam, My name is Rajinder Singh from Gurdaspur, Punjab. Recently I travelled to Leh and Ladakh with one of friend on my new Mahindra XUV300 with Registered no - (PB06AY2211 ) which I bought for 12 lakhs+ amount and is just 11-month-old with only 8500 km mileage so far. On this trip my car showed up a warning sign called (Regen), I checked the booklet and find this in article no. 5.4 (Instrument cluster tell-tale), first point it says to drive car on 60km/hr for 20 – 30 minutes OR take it to the Mahindra authorised dealer. Please try to understand that maintaining the same speed in hilly areas is not physically possible for any driver. Second point it says that REGEN sign blinks which never happened on my car, but I still tried to find the dealer nearby but my bad luck that no Mahindra dealer was close by and the closest was 70km away and close to my hotel stay. Thank God I reached back to my hotel with my limping XUV300. Next morning, I tried to start the car to drive to the Garage and couldn’t get it start. I arranged RSA to tow vehicle and we finally reached the garage “Mentokling Motors, Near SBI, Chaglamsar, Leh-Ladakh) on 12th of September. Next two days I kept going to the Garage and the TECH guy made the mechanics open half the engine of my new car to find the problem, but the car couldn’t be started and I was told that the DPF system have failed and a part called DPF is needed to be changed. On third day I was told that the part is not in stock and has to be ordered and can take few days to reach so I can leave, and the company will contact me once it will be done. I was conveyed that this part is covered in the warranty, but the term & conditions apply (Now what are the terms, till date there is no clarity). Today I received a call from the garage, and they said the vehicle is ready to collect and pay amount 76000/- . When we buy the vehicle company said your car is covered in 3 Yr warranty.if any defect and fault occur your car is covered in warranty.but now they are not covered my car in warranty .pls help me . However, after giving you all this incident report I request you to cover the cost of repair in warranty as Already it was a monster amount to buy the new vehicle and it is not even a year old.
