Maruti Suzuki — Gear mechanism faulty in Maruti Celerio ZXIO

I earlier had Maruti 800 and Alto LXI. There was no problem with gear system. I purchased Celerio ZXIO from Apra Auto (India) Pvt Ltd Gurgaon.on 17 October 2014. I am able to shift to second gear during driving with difficulty as there is lot of play. I have to take gear lever to the extreme left and then again move it to right to engage second gear. Similarly, sometimes, it becomes difficult to change from second gear to third as it does not engage. I had pointed it out to Apra service centre during first service, but they said it is a new car and I shall get used to it. I would like an engineer from Maruti to do road test and rectify the gear system.
