Maruti Suzuki India — fraud and cheating on deal of maruti ignis zeta by maruti nexa roorkee uttarakhand

Here am writing this email due to the bad experience i had from your dealer at shakumbari autowheels pvt. Ltd, nexa, roorkee uttarakhand.

I would like to name and tell you the whole story what happened. I visited the showroom on[protected] with my husband to enquire about maruti ignis zeta petrol mt (Single tone). I was entertained by sales executive mr. Ahmer khawaza. The car was to be purchased in the name of my father-in-law dr. Anil kumar agarwal (Senior surgeon u. P. Govt. Bareilly) in c/o my husband residing in haridwar, uttarakhand. I told him that i shall consult my in-laws and confirm you about the same.

Later, on[protected], we again visited the showroom to finalize the deal. Mr. Ahmer greeted warmly to us. He provided us a discount of rs.10000 (By maruti) + rs. 3100 (Corporate) and rs.15000 (Cash discount). Also an additional discount of rs.15000 was provided on car accessories. This was confirmed by the showroom manager mr. Shailendra kumar. So, we paid the booking amount of rs.11000.

Afterwards, i told them the remaining amount will be transferred on[protected] through rtgs by my father-in-law as[protected] was 4th saturday, the next day was sunday and[protected] was holiday on account of eid-ul-fitar in the bank.

I asked mr. Shailendra to give me this in written but he told me i can’t give you this in written. So, i told him i have booking this deal with your words as assurance to me.

On[protected], in the morning, i called mr. Ahmer to further confirm the deal and how much remaining amount i have to do rtgs. He told me to add ex-showroom price + registration + insurance and deduct rs.28100 from this. Also, an additional discount of rs.15000 will be provided on accessories at the time of delivery.

Rs.11000 booking amount was already paid. He told me to transfer remaining amount.

So, on[protected], i reached the showroom by 11 a. M. To again re-confirm the payment from mr. Shailendra and mr. Kunal.

Mr. Shailendra told me to pay remaining rs.6, 05, 000. My father-in-law has made an r. T. G. S. Of amount rs.4, 95, 000 by 2 p. M. And remaining rs.1, 10, 000 was paid in cash in the evening by 5 p. M. We included accessories of amount rs.25000 (Of which 15000 was provided as discount).

After that we waited till 8 p. M. For our delivery but another inconvenience occurred. Your employee has mentioned loan as mode of payment in insurance instead of cash/r. T. G. S. I was later told that the insurance will be completed by tomorrow. I was denied to take my car. Later mr. Shailendra and mr. Kunal asked me to give an undertaking to take my car. The time was around 9:15 p. M. As it was too late, i provided the undertaking and took the car. Also, it was told to me by mr. Shailendra that he will sent the documents next day.

I waited next day for my documents but when i didn’t receive, i called mr. Ahmer on[protected] for the same and he told me he will get them deliver the same day by night or next day in the morning.

Later on[protected], my husband received a call from mr. Ahmer at 12:30 p. M. That we have to pay an extra amount of rs.4500 for registration for “care of”. I felt like cheated. My husband told him that it was already informed to them before the deal that registration will be done in the name of my father-in-law in c/o my husband. This amount was never told by him at that time. Later in the evening, my husband again called mr. Ahmer and he told that the company is paying the amount on your behalf. His attitude showed that we are at fault and we felt humiliated.

On[protected], mr. Kunal called me and told me that you have to pay an amount of rs.25000 otherwise you will not be receiving the documents. The behaviour of the staff is very ignorant, harsh and pathetic. It felt like harassment and blackmailing from maruti.in the evening, i called mr. Shailendra and he started quoting the same thing and dropped my call without listening my problem. To sort out the problem, we visited again on[protected] and told him about the offer. Mr. Shailendra started denying an extra discount of 15000 on accessories. I was not expecting such cheating attitude from a renowned maruti showroom sales personnel. He didn’t even call the sales executive mr. Ahmer and emotionally blackmailed us that mr. Ahmer has two children and his one month salary will be deducted and so & so. After that we requested him to meet the gm maruti nexa roorkee but he denied us the meeting.
We have taken the matter with tsm mr. Avijit but all in vain. Mr. Avijit told me that he is making a payment of rs.15000 on your behalf. Behavior of your employees mr. Avijit, mr. Ahmer and mr. Shailendra were unprofessional with a lady and we were forced to pay rs.20000. After that i called mr. Avijit and told him that i have paid rs.20000 and you do not need to pay. He told me that i will refund you the excess amount but we have not received the amount back.
In addition, mr. Shailendra started demanding rs.1746 as penalty for registration for not submitting the documents. We have already submitted all documents on day of purchase. He has put on hold for submission.
Next day i complained on nexa customer care. Then we got a call from showroom manager mr. Shailendra they forced us to close our complain and they offer 2yr extended warranty, teflon coating, washing coupon and some minor accessories in place of complained closing.
And then they also promised us that they would not create any problems in future like r. C. And numberplate.
On 26th july a sms came on my husband's phone for number plate after that i call to nexa showroom but they didn't respond us. On 30 july my husband went to maruti service center roorkee. There he call mr. Shailendra for r. T. O. Slip but as usual they again didn't respond us.
After all on 4th aug i complained again on nexa customer care.
Then they gave us our rto slip but we didn't get our registration amount receipt.
Now we want that mr. Shailendra have to give in written that all the offers and compensation they offered us verbally.

I have been a customer of maruti from past 25 years. Staring from maruti van, maruti 800, maruti zen, maruti zen estilo and now maruti nexa ignis, i always appreciated maruti sales and services.

But after this, it is clear that maruti, the premium nexa is also encouraging black marketing along with the dealers and taking undue advantage of the reliability of the name maruti by creating market monopoly. This is a complete case of fraud. I have been mentally tortured by maruti nexa roorkee. I would take a legal action against maruti in the consumer forum if my problem is not resolved for all the inconvenient caused to us. Maruti, the premium nexa should take an immediate action against the dealer.
