Max Hospital — Extra charge after discharge due to late submission of documents by tpa

Dear sir, my patient Himani Bansal was discharged from hospital yesterday and tpa processed claim in afternoon. A query was raised by insurance company and documents regarding treatment were asked to submit. We told tpa in Max to submit documents many times repeatedly till 7pm. They assured us at 7:15pm that documents have been sent and approval will come in 2 hours. After waiting till 11 pm I contacted customer care at manipal Cigna and I was shocked to hear from them that no documents were uploaded by tpa. In late night I called many times in tpa but they were out of service in night. In morning they uploaded documents required and claim was passed by company. Now tpa is asking for one day extra charges from us inspite of asking from insurance company which delay was caused due to their negligence. Moreover my daughter Himani is suffering mental disturbance here from last 24 hrs of discharge and not allowed to go home. Pls help us.
