Max Hospital — Misleading u about the treatment by Dr. Atul NC Peter

This complain is regarding my father's (Mr. Mahavir Singh) treatment who is Pensioner of Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB). On 20th October 2021, he was admitted in emergency in Saket max smart super speciality hospital (max id:SKCT:42312) due to acute pancreatitis attack. Hospital refused to take admission due to non-availability of bed and referred him to another hospital urgently for further treatment because of his critical situation. Finally I admitted him in Fortis Vasant Kunj for his treatment. After about one month of treatment, he got discharge from the hospital. After that, I consulted again in Saket Max for further treatment under Dr. B. P. Singh (Gastroenterology). He prescribed medicine and suggested some tests and CT for abdomen. Further on the basis of CT scan and blood tests, he immediately referred us to meet Dr. Atul NC Peter (Gastro Surgeon) at Max Smart for surgery. Then we met him and he said now surgery is not needed we will see later on. But suddenly on 20th Dec, 2021, my father was again admitted due to high fever, vomiting, lose motion and stomach ache at Saket Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital. At that time, Gastro team doctors visited and suggested some medicine to stop all these problems. Then after 6-7 days, they discharged and suggested for review again in OPD. When I asked for endoscopy procedure or surgery as Dr. B. P. Singh suggested on an urgent basis due to new symptom came as nacrosis inflammation of pancreas. But his team doctors refused again. In 6 days of admission in hospital, Dr. Peter never visited to patient and only few a times his team doctors visited. Then after asking so many times for Dr. Peter then he visited but only one time and without any discussion with me about my father he left. Then, they discharged my father but the problem still persists. Again after some time we came to the hospital with same problem and they again suggested for some tests but they didn't agree to treat the patient in spite of facing so much pain and fever. We discussed the matter with Dr. B.P.Singh he said only surgery team can do the needful and then we went to Dr. Peter then after reviewing the scans and reports he simply refused to treat and said I can't touch him and operate due to major problem in his pancreas and gave so many excuses. Also, he referred us back to Gastroentrologist Dr. B. P. Singh. This way we were simply dozing between the Gastro team and the Gastro Surgery team nothing else. Then we start consulting other hospitals and as discussed by other hospitals, many doctor said endoscopy is required at this stage i.e. after one or one and half month of pancreatitis attack. In this ongoing process, we met doctors from other hospitals and they were surprised that why they are not operating as the patient is getting critical day by day. We again discussed and requested with Dr. Peter that these doctor told us that you need to operate according to the patient condition. Then again he suggested some tests and again gave excuses that now some fluid has entered in his chest so first go to concern doctor and it is not possible to operate the patient. We requested him to operate because his heath is deteriorating day by day but he didn't listen us and suggested to meet urologist and pulmonary department. We financially, mentally, physically tortured by dozing from one department to other. The major problem is Dr. Peter is never available in spite of the appointment taken. Also, he is not ready to listen to us and always throw the ball in the other's court. Because of him, my father's condition became worst. On 5th Jan 2022, we again came to hospital due to the same problems, again bed was not available and they referred us in another panel hospital after on site doctor discussion with Dr. Peter. We requested many a times but all was meaningless for them. So, we were helpless and father was not in condition to sit on chair and fall down. Immediately we admitted him in emergency at Saket max super speciality hospital (NON-PANEL hospital) where doctors team handled the case systematically and procedure was done well. We have spent a huge amount approx. 8 Lacks. My all saving has finished and now I am not in condition to pay any amount for further treatment. If all procedure was taken care by Dr. Peter team then this situation might not come as that hospital is in panel. I know Dr. Peter keep on refusing because he is a panel patient. and might be hospital will not be benefited by him.
Now, I would like to file a complain against Dr. Atul NC Peter who ruined my father's case and health. We would like to meet all the board members or Director where I can put this case so that he/she can resolve this problem on urgent basis. Since these both hospital are associated with Max then how it is possible that the doctors under panel hospital branch are unable to treat and another which comes under non-panel can operate easily. They have all the solutions and procedures too. It indicate that there is a huge corruption going on in the same hospital having different teams of doctors. I request immediate action against Dr. Peter. Due to him, patient (my father at the age of 72) suffered a lot and came in critical condition. Playing with patient is highly objectionable and strict action is needed against him. Doctors take the pledge to save the patient by giving their best before joining their duties but in case of Dr. Peter it is absolutely meaningless. It's a request to the board member to take necessary action against him with immediate effect and reimburse the whole amount which I have paid in Saket Max super specialty hospital for the treatment. Now I am in a very bad shape financially too. Kindly look into the matter and hoping for your positive response.
