Max Hospital — Patient Data Confidentiality Breach

To bring to your notice the unprofessional and unethical behavior of one of your staff members that we were subjected to. We had a collection agent visit our residence in Indirapuram, to collect my mother's blood sample, for the tests that were prescribed to her after a video consultation with Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, on 10th Jan
. We got a call from Max labs from your analyst Satendra on 11th Jan afternoon to book the tests for a home sample collection prescribed by the consulted doctor. We said no to the same and made it very very clear that we will not get the tests done from Max labs, post which Satendra agreed to it.
To our surprise on 12th Jan we got a call around 08:00 am that someone is there to collect the test sample. We were under an impression that this person Gautam who came is from our preferred lab. He visited our house and collected the sample and collected INR 4, 000 from us.
To the biggest shock we got to know that this person is from a private lab- Redcliffe Labs, Electronic City, Noida. When probed he confessed that he got this lead from the Max lab analyst. This employee of Max Labs has breached the patient confidentiality and data privacy and shared the prescription to this private lab person on Whatsapp and they both have confessed to it.
This not only compromises the safety of the patients but also questions the credibility of the hospital.
I demand an action to be taken against this with utmost urgency

Kindly look into this matter at utmost priority and treat it urgent, and get back to us with the action you plan to take against your employee.
