My father got a call from a Max Life agent asking why we have not claimed our bonus. She then proceeded to give him a number and asked him to contact a Nandini Sharma. This is when my father brought this to my attention, and we went ahead and made the call. She seemed very legit, and she had so many details. Anyways, she proceeded to tell us what documents were needed and gave instructions on claiming our bonus which the company is giving out. She gives us steps to remove the agent so that there will be no commission charges. She then proceeds with asking to send the documents over what's app, and we can make a payment immediately to start our process. By that time, both o[censored]s, my father and I, were very dubious of this whole scenario. We ended the call and called a friend who is in the same field. Upon her advice, we stopped all contact with this Nandini Sharma, who by the by started calling repeatedly after 5 minutes, when she didn't get the documents. The scam aside, how did she get so many details of my policies? Does Max Life sell our data after we buy their products? Also, reaching out to Max Life Customer Service stating the same, nothing. Uptill now, they are asking me for details and stating their terms of service & security when instead an agent should have reached out on the registered number, which was provided to confirm this concern the very day that mail was seen. And I have not gotten a call from them to date. Calling the toll-free number was pointless. Scamming is rampant nowadays, but when the company itself does nothing that tells a lot!
