[Resolved]  Mobile Care — Non Repairing of Insured mobile

I had insured my mobile HTC A-310 belonging to my son through your company more than 16 months ago and had paid Rs. 800.00 for the same. However, on 01/10/2013 when the said handset’s touch & display the mobile display was not working properly I made a complaint with your customer care centre to get the repair done. On October 4, 2013, an executive of your company visited and collected the handset to get the repairs done. After 13 days I received a call from them and being informed that the handset cannot be repaired as it has been opened by some other shop. However, at the time of buying the insurance I wasn’t being informed that if the handset will be given to some other shop other than your service centre, in that case the insurance policy will lapse. I tried contacting the higher authorities (Mr. Roshan Singh) and told them that I wasn’t informed about the situations in which the policy will be lapsed who assured me that he will send me the proof of the same which he could not till now. On October 18, 2013, Mr. Roshan Singh told me that your executive had not hidden anything while insuring your product and further added that I can be paid a sum of Rs. 1, 200/- in place of my mobile which I declined the same. Further, I received another call on December 12, 2013 from them who informed me that they are not repairing the handset and again i requested them to send my handset back for which i could not found any intention during conversation that they are interested to return my hand set. I called up in their customer care center more than 10 times but every time i only being informed that the handset can not be repaired and whenever i requested them to let me talk to their senior they promised to arrange a call back which i never received. The entire episode has left me in a bitter taste and I am extremely disappointed with your pathetic services. I have been facing lot of mental stress, agony and immense loss of time and money due to this incident and even after making several requests to your company officials no positive response has been received by me. With a great hope and hearing about a healthy reputation of your Brand name I had availed the services of Mobile care but to my utter disappointment, I have faced the worst. Almost 20 days ago I filed a case against them through Akosha but even they could not find any positive response later they suggested me to file a case in Consumer Court and I have no option to do. We were going through old complaints that we were not able to resolve and came across the one filed by you (#410150). We are extremely sorry that we could not help you despite our best efforts. Resolving consumer complaints is very challenging and we are not successful every time. We are learning from our mistakes and trying hard to get past the constraints that we still face to improve the resolution rate. Hope you will also understand our situation.
