I PURCHASED A SONY XPERIA X-10 I MOBILE PHONE IN DECEMBER 2010 AND WHEN GIVEN TO THE AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTRE FOR REPAIR OF A PROBLEM I AM INFORMED THAT THIS MODEL HAS BEEND DECLARED AS OBSOLETE BY THE COMPANY AND NO MORE SPARES ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE SERVICE OF THE PRODUCT. THIS IS VERY UNJUST AND UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE. MY MOBILE PHONE WAS PURCHASED AT A PRICE OF Rs.28,100/- AND IT HAS BEEN USED ONLY BY ME WITH UTMOST CARE ONLY FOR A PERIOD OF 27 MONTHS. NO COMPANY SHOULD DECLARE A PRODUCT OF THEIRS AS OBSOLETE BEFORE AT LEAST A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS. IN THE EVENT OF THE COMPANY BEING UNABLE TO PROVIDE SPARES FOR ANY OF THEIR PRODUCT OR ARE UNABLE TO GIVE TECHNICAL SUPPORT THEY SHOULD REFUND THE COST OF THE PRODUCT AFTER DEDUCTING DEPRECIATION FOR THE PERIOD O[censored]SE.
