Motorola Solutions — I'm complaining about the service at authorised service centre

I'm from Chandigarh, I recently bought Moto M on 24th January, 2017 and my charger adaptor and wire isn't working properly. I went to the authorised service centre, they asked me to submit my phone and to take a Back-up of my documents.
I questioned them a lot of times, that if there is a hardware problem, why would they need to analyse my phone's software.
They said they need it for some kind of a key in my phone.
But I didn't understand this concept at all.
Please reply me ASAP.

I got an SMS that, your handset requires a part which is under shipment from nearest warehouse. you will receive estimated time of dilevery soon at 6.43 am today, i just want to know what is this about????
and also my G5 plus mobile speaker is not working properly so what should i do???? from the date i brought it.
