My billable units hover around 190 to 250 units, until Mar 2014. Suddenly from April 2014, the units went up to 800 units. This trend of excess units continued till June 2014.
We raised this issue with GTL and they confirmed that the meter is faulty. They replaced the meter and promised that the excess bill would be adjusted.
However, even after regular follow-ups with GTL under complaint number - MT/CH/1911, there was no adjustment of excess bill. It was being charged incorrectly in every consecutive bills and piled up. We have always been regular bill payers, even when there were similar incidents in the past. Infact GTL/MSEB owes us money for the extra money that we have paid.
During the course of follow-ups, GTL Urja, Aurangabad was shut down.
Now that MSEB has taken over, they are pressurising us to do make the full payment. We are ready to make the correct payment provided the extra charged amount should be eliminated.
We are a family with children at home and do not wish to get into any situation where there is no electricity, due to no fault of ours.
Our only request to the MSEB officials is that we should be billed for the units we have consumed, which we are ready to pay.
