Subject: Complaint Regarding Failure in Door-to-Door Waste Collection and Misbehaviour by Sanitation Staff
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Manjit Singh, a resident of House No. 261, Sector 21-A, Chandigarh, am writing to bring a serious issue to your immediate attention regarding the failure of door-to-door waste collection and the misbehaviour of the assigned sanitation worker.
Today, on 7/11/2025], at approximately 8:20 AM, the sweeper from the Municipal Corporation, who is responsible for our area, came for the daily waste collection. However, he outrightly refused to collect the waste from my residence. When I politely requested him to perform his duty and collect the waste, he not only refused but also misbehaved with me.
This incident is highly unacceptable. The door-to-door waste collection service is a crucial civic amenity, and such refusal of duty, coupled with misbehaviour towards a taxpayer and resident, is a matter of great concern.
Therefore, I urgently request you to take the following actions:
1. Issue strict instructions to the concerned sanitation worker to collect waste from my home (H.No. 261, Sector 21-A) daily without fail.
2. Take necessary disciplinary action against the employee for his refusal to work and for his misbehaviour with a resident.
3. Ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future, guaranteeing the smooth functioning of essential sanitation services in our locality.
I have always appreciated the efforts of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation in keeping our city clean. I trust you will look into this matter promptly and take appropriate action.
