Navata Road Transport — Delivered a severly damaged cot

Sir, i have booked 2 cots from penugonda to bangalore bommanahalli (LR no M97814) on 21.5.15. I have received the goods after 10 days after several visits to the transport center. The cots received are completely broken and cannot be used at all. Please help me regarding this. Raj -[protected]

There are lots and lots of complaints against Navata which are not addressed by the management. Proper steps should be taken to cancel their licence. They should be taught good lesson so that they don't play with people and their belongings. The operator should be ashamed for spoiling his fathers name and fame.

I had requested to transport my wooden cot from Bangalore to Nellore on 19th Jun. Since there was a lockdown in Bangalore they had promised to load the cot monday (i.e. 21st Jun) and the cot will be delivered to me in 2days. But I noticed that the bill has been generated for 23rd June 2021 which is 2days late. Attached is the bill shared by the company to us for your reference.
In this case the cot should have reached me on 25th June. However we got no response from the staff on the cot. We had to continuously follow up with both Bangalore and Nellore staff and they kept on delaying the delivery saying that we did not receive all the parts of the cot and the Head of the cot is still yet to be received. This happened for more than a week and the cot still did not reach me and it was kept in a different location.
But we took the complete effort and collected the cot in two different locations. One from Santhapet and other from Autonagar, Nellore and the additional cost also were borne by me.
Post receiving the cot, we noticed that the packing was very poor with lots of damages in different parts of the cot. The head of the cot was completely smashed. I had paid additional charges of 1500/- for safe handling.
The company had taken NOC for damages incurred during transport. I can accept minor damages on different parts, but the head has been completely damaged into pieces which cannot be repaired. Image has been attached for the same.
Upon contacting the Nellore transport agency, they informed us to check with the Bangalore agency as they claim that they only delivered the product. When contacting the Bangalore agency, they initially said they will check on the issue and provide a solution, but after a lot of follow-up, they now say we are not responsible for damage as you have signed the no objection form for damages. 
The response from the staff is highly unacceptable . They are irresponsible and very negligent.
Due to this below are the loss incurred by me:Cot cost - 13000/-Transport cost with additional safety packing - 5400/-Self collection of cot head from a different location - 1000/-total - 19400/-
It's going to be almost a month and still i have not got any resolution yet. I am greatly disappointed with your service.
I would like to escalate this issue and address it at the earliest. Else I would take this issue legally.
I have already contacted Legal India to raise a consumer dispute and they have accepted the complaint. If this has not been addressed, I will be filing a  complaint under Section 21C in the Consumer Protection Act.
Before proceeding I thought I would contact you one last time for a decent issue resolution.

WORST BEHAVIOUR FROM THE CUSTOMER CARE!!!

I just got a call from customer care and they claim that the product was delivered to us in good condition.

To clarify you,
- The agency did not open the parcel and show us to check if the cot came in good condition or not.
- The cot was indeed delivered by the agency staff themselves.
- The parcel was never touched by us and upon opening the packing, the cot was damaged. This clearly shows it was damaged during transit.
- The customer care associate indeed accepted due to heavy load, there might be chances of damage. This already proves the cot was already damaged before delivery.
- the head of the cot was delivered from autonagar, nellore and the body was delivered from santhapet, nellore. upon enquiring why the parts of cot were in different locations, i was told that there was a mistake in transit. Please note that this again is a mistake from your end and the head of the cot was clearly damaged during transit . That is the reason why the agency was delaying the delivery of the product.
- Now since there was no reason to accept the mistake, the staff blandly came up with a reason that we do not take any complaints once the product has been delivered. To be clear, customer support is to address customer grievances even after the product delivery. Kindly educate the staff on the same.
- Also, the staff disconnected the call without completing or addressing my issue.

Upon checking the complaints forum on your transport company, I see that there have been multiple cases of damages, delayed delivery, theft, incorrect delivery from your end. Considering all these irresponsible behaviour of yours, I will definitely be taking action legally as this is crystal clear that there was no single mistake from my end.

To also update you I have recorded the call where the customer care staff had clearly mentioned damages are common during transit. I am not going to take responsibility for your mistake and I am ready to face the consequences.
