[Resolved] Infomedia 18 — Misleading Information for Advertisement | |||
Dear Sir / Madam, I wanted to lodge a complaint against an employee and her manager working in Infomedia 18 in Nagpur Office. Ms. Shilpa Meshram, Executive - Business Development, approached me with some advertising proposal. As I had just opened my office, I asked her to give me a few months time till I am finally stable. Yet, she used to call me several times an forced me to get an advertising package for my company. I asked her to meet me face to face when she informed that she can offer me good discount rates. I agreed to the rates but the only issue I had was the ads were going to be printed after an year. Mine was a new company and I wanted to advertise my company as soon as possible. She assured me she will arrange the ads to be printed within a month. After few days, she came with some paperwork and asked me to sign. I asked her to keep the documents with me and I will sign them in the evening. She said that I had to give the payment and documents immediately as the discount is only valid till evening. Hence, I signed the paperwork and made the payment in form of cheque. When my ad was published over the internet, I saw they had put my personal number instead of office number. Moreover, there were no grammatical expressions like full stop, comma, etc. I called their office and asked them to change it, when I was informed that the ad will be printed after 1 year. I called Shilpa. She said she will make sure the ad is published this year itself, and when I called their office, they denied this. Since then, this is going back and forth. I have sent many emails to her to which I never got a reply. I have attached those emails below. I got frustrated and called Shilpa's Manager, Mr. Mukesh to escalate this. He said he will cancel this offer and I will refund the money. Since then, I am following with him and every time I get the reply, 'You will get the refund after 2 months.' This went on for 5-6 months. I called Mr. Mukesh again on 31st January 2013 where he assured that within 15 - 20 days. To this I replied him that if I dont get any reply within 2 months, I will be escalating this to Consumer Forum. I called him again today - 29th May 2013 - after 4 months, and his reply was - 'The company is closed and you will get the refund in June.' I am really frustrated and since last 1 year, Infomedia18 at Nagpur is taking this matter back and forth and hence am seeking help from you. I had to cancel this as I was not informed that this will start from 2013 inspite of mentioning that I need urgent advertisement. Moreover, I had called several times to change the matter advertised but no one was ready to help me. This was discussed with her manager and he decided to cancel and confirmed I will get the refund withing 2-3 months. I am trying to call Shilpa and have send a couple of reminders to her, but there is no response.
