Oneplus — Arrogant and ill informed customer care of Amazon - refusing to refund money for defective product

I am writing this after undergoing lots of pain whole day today and all the trouble is caused by Amazon.
These companies rain all goodies initially to capture market, once they overcome competition they begin to flex
their muscles! This is my last transaction at Amazon and will never visit this website. Also I am absolutely unhappy
with One plus 3 mobile. After 2 month long research and going through the ratings I ordered One plus 3 mobile[protected])
last week and it arrived today when I was about to step out of my home to office. Then I remained at home to open the pack. As soon
as I powered on, unusually color grain appeared on the screen to my disappointment. Yet it started asking me to enter
inputs such as Wifi network password, google details. I entered google credentials and it starts downloading apps.
It went on few minutes and I could notice lot of heat at the back of the phone and the screen suddenly disappeared. I
thougtt it is rebooting and then it started with the logo and android at the bottom of the screen & two
to three lines of colored grains appeared. After some time the screen went blank. I called up One plus 3 service center
twice and they told to wipe cache (by holding power and down arrow volume button) and reboot. But again the same logo
and 'android' was displayed at the bottom of the screen, after a while it again went blank! Service center told it is
defective product and told to replace the phone with Amazon. It did upset me quite a lot as I could not join office
meetings. I called up Amazon and this where all the junk responses from Amazon came. They told to go to service center
and they asked me to get DoA-Service denial certificate from the service center. I shot back saying why should I waste
my time going to service center when amazon and the seller sent me the defective phone. Again and again they insisted
that I need to go to service center and get the certificate from the service centre.

I went to B2X service centre (which is authorized by One plus 3) at Malleswaram in Bangalore. The person said there is
no such certificate that they have ever issued. He told to leave the mobile and he can create job sheet only if I agree
to leave the mobile and get it serviced.Called up several times Amazon and even requested service center person to talk
to Amazon customer service person. After over 2 long hour wait, Amazon agreed to replace the mobile without any
certificate from the service center. By this time it is evening and I have lost my precious time. Even One plus 3 customer
care person told me not to go to service centre and asked me to return to Amazon for shipping such defective product.
But arrogant Amazon customer care people hell bent on getting me to service center. It is only after the service center
person spoke to them, this Amazon agree to process replacement without this certificate! Don't Amazon have common sense
that why any authorized One plus 3 service center give Denial of Service certificate!!! Amazon have put in such
arrogant policies in place. I heard through my friends that during initial time of Amazon launch, they used to quietly
take away the product from the customer if the customer does not like the
product. Now that these folks have captured the market, they begin to flex their muscles and showing the real face! After
wasting whole of my day due to erroneous service and ill informed customer service agents of Amazon I told them that
I don't want the replacement product and asked to refund the money. But Amazon refused that they won't refund the money
but only give replacement.They say it is not their policy to refund the money for mobiles. All of you be very aware and
study thoroughly the return policy and just don't blindly trust the brand Amazon as now they captured the market, they
begin to show theie real color. I am seriously considering legal option to get the refund of money after consultation
with legal expert. Any suggestions to file a case in consumer court is welcome.

Look how clever these Amazon and One plus 3 to fool the people. It is obvious that One plus 3 is sold only through Amazon and why at all this return policy printed in One plus 3 user guide!? All of you be very aware and
study thoroughly the return policy and just don't blindly trust the brand Amazon as now they captured the market, they
begin to show their real color. I am seriously considering legal option to get the refund of money after consultation
with legal expert. Any suggestions to file a case in consumer court is welcome.And last but not least, I never transact
again at Amazon!
