Pantaloons Fashion & Retail — Accused of shoplifting | |||||
Yesterday i went to a pantaloons merchendise in nearby mall. While exiting the mall the alarm buzzed off and i was cornered and asked to stay there for checking. I was accused of leaving the item in the changing room thereafter where i had forgotten my wallet. And had gone to take so. Later i was asked to leave the shop without apology from your staff. I dont know why your alarm went off on me and they asked me to stop. If i was the culprit i would not have stayed there. I had paid my bill already and still bought a few more items. I have shopped multiple times, but never have I shoplifted in my life be it a one rupee thing or whatever the price is. This is the only and first incident that happened with me. I was accused of shoplifting one of pantaloons product. I picked up a few clothes, tried them and put the other clothes down in the trial room. I had my hand bag, its a open bag; with me.must have been that while putting those other clothes down one must have slipped into my bag and I din't notice it. I billed and before i was leaving the door beeped and i was taken to the store backroom and yes I agree the product was found in my bag but i had no intention of shoplifting it. I was still made to fill the consent form. I mean i have shopped and purchased products more that 3-5k but such a thing never happened. I felt embarrassed with whatever happened at the store. May be you got to update your rules and make it compulsory for customers to keep their bagge at the baggage counter. May be this could not lead to such things. And i.. I would be very careful next time not bring anything but just my phone and swipe card. Bhagwan jane pehle kiya hai apne aise kehkar bar bar strictly check karne lage tho. Thats an embarrassment for me.
I love Pantaloons and its products they are of best quality but this embarrassment i had to go through wouldn't make me visit the store again.
