I have submitted my passport for Renewal with the Regional Passport Officer - Chennai on 11th May 2011 under TATKAL scheme.

As of today I am yet to receive the renewed passport.

Inspite of several visits / calls to the passport office I am yet to receive the same.

I had applied for passport renewal on 2nd March 2009. Police verification was done on 30th Sep 2009 but till date did not receive my passport. On enquiring the RPO chennai, they said that the status of my file number V001136 is Awaiting verification and that they are waiting for the papers from police.
