Paytm — Delay in refund order no. [protected] | |||||
Hi! I had ordered for “E450 Thinkpad Lenovo” Laptop, Order No. [protected], on 16-Nov-2016 at 22:04 hours from Paytm for INR 32, 579 and made the payment on the same day partially through my Paytm wallet(INR 2, 468) and partially through my Debit Card (INR 30, 111). After a few hour, I cancelled this order because I wanted Laptop with different specifications. Paytm refunded the amount paid through the Paytm wallet but till date i.e. 3-Dec-16 23:00 hours it has not refunded the amount (INR 30, 111) paid through the debit card. As per the Paytm Payment, Cashback & Refund policy I waited for 24-48 hours after the cancellation of the order to let the Paytm credit my account but it didn’t refund the amount. I first raised the query on 19-Nov-2016 19:44 hours mentioning them the case of delay in refund requesting to refund me the amount in the bank account. Later on, every single day I reminded them and humbly requested through mails and Paytm’s official Facebook page to refund me the amount to the bank account but it didn’t work out. They have the fix set of replies, a few of them are mentioned below: 1. We are looking into this and will get back to you with an update in next 48-72 hrs. 2. Thank you for waiting while we work on your issue and get back to you. 3. Hi, Our team is working on this issue and we'll get back to you at the earliest. Thanks! 4. Hi, Please give us some time. So that we can assist you further with the proper resolution! 5. Hi Gagan, We are getting this checked and will update you soon. Thanks! The above vague replies clearly depicts that they are befooling and their intent is to harass the customers mentally and make them devoid of peace. Further, they (Himanshi from Paytm) created havoc on 28-Nov-2016 by closing the complaint saying that the entire amount has been refunded. Later, when I asked them to provide me the details of the transaction of refund so made to my bank account, they were completely answerless. Also, repeatedly I have been asking the Paytm personnel to call me so that the issue can be sorted out at the earliest but they didn’t pay heed to any of the requests I made. Instead of repeated reminders and more than dozen of requests, the Paytm is making excuses daily and enjoying on my hard-earned money. I even requested them to issue me the refund in cash to which they didn’t give their consent till now. I really wonder how boastfully they preach “Remember at paytm your trust is foremost. Your money is yours unless you have received your recharge. That’s our promise!” This is completely opposite of how they are practically functioning and operating. Now I request your esteemed learned authorities to please take this case ahead and resolve the issue by suing Paytm for delay in refund. Also, Paytm to pay me the interest from the date of payment (16-Nov-2016) of money till the day my account is actually credited. Should you require any further information feel free to contact.
