I have purchased 3 items from Pepperfry.com till now –

• Order No.[protected] Venus Study Table by HomeTown (Very Late delivery)
• Order No.[protected] Madelyn Sofa Cum Bed in Brown Colour by Auspicious (Still not delivered )
• Order No. 30214034 Dreamline Plus Bonell Six Inches Queen-Size Mattress by HomeTown (Not yet shipped)

I am forced to come to consumer forum because of problem faced in all the 3 items.
My first order was delivered very late from the time mentioned by Pepperfry team. I followed up with the team like crazy but they were putting all on vendor.
If they are doing business with vendors, isn’t the team responsible for delay and shouldn’t expect some accountability from them.

My 2nd order[protected] was supposed to be delivered maximum by 6th April – again no updates from the team that it will be delayed or something. As per my previous experience, I tried to follow up with team much in advance but unfruitful again.
On 20th March I recived a mail from pepper fry team that my product is already in Bangalore warehouse and will be shipped by road transfer. I got hopeful and tried to follow up – again no result.
Today is 12th April and still I have not received the product.
We as buyer makes some estimate and then order the things, like this sofa cum bed was ordered because I was expecting some guests at home. Now my money was also blocked and my purpose was also not solved.

Biggest disappointed came from consumer helpdesk team where without even understanding the customer question, they will put on long hold and come back with some absurd answers.

To continue with my ordeal, I placed Order No. 30214034 in midnight. I had some furniture upgrade point which was not highlighted while I was placing the order. So order got processed without it.

I couldn’t contact customer care that time as it was not a serviceable time. I understand that – so when I call them next day, they denied canceling my order. I said OK at least adjust my upgraded point in this order, they said this is also not possible.

If I need to use my points I again need to place an order of more than 10 k.

Now who is responsible for all this ordeal of mine? Hence I am requesting compensation against my troubles I faced.
