Buying Experience - I have ordered one Open shoe rack worth price was Rs. 999. I made the payment with my credit card; and the order was placed immediately.
Change the product - After 10 minutes of placing the order, I have realized that I have placed order for a wrong product; and I need to cancel the order and purchase the correct product.
The Problem I faced was as I was placing the order, I noticed the "Cancellation Fee" section and they have "purposefully" and "smartly" hidden the fact that, even if the product is not "shipped" / "manufactured", you have to pay "2.5% Cancellation Charge even if you cancel the product IMMEDIATELY"; which is really WRONG and EXPLOITIVE from a big brand as Pepperfry. As, I have changed my mind / or placed the order mistakenly and I want to order another table, I MUST be able to cancel the order without being charged.
The Solution - Before placing an order the user should be clearly informed that after placing the order they have to pay a 2.5% of cancellation charge if the user want to cancel the order (even if it is after 10 minutes) - It should not happen in the first place, and the user should get a timeframe in which they have enough room to re-think about their purchase. At least the user should be able to cancel the order without any cancellation fees before the product has been shipped.
