Regarding - SmartGrid Ortho Hybrid Mattress Queen size By The Sleep Company (Ordered through Pepperfry)
Dear Ma'am/Sir,
I had ordered a mattress - Order ID[protected]dated 20 August 2022)
thinking it is a 10" thick mattress since the description mentions 10" as the thickness although the title mentions 8" thickness. In fact when I choose the filter for 10" mattress this product shows up. Thereafter, I was contacted by the mattress company saying they have received an order for an 8" mattress. They told me I should contact Pepperfry about the same. When I contacted Pepperfry's customer care team they said it would be a 10" mattress itself and they asked me to call another team of theirs. The other team said that its an 8" mattress and that I should contact the customer care team (who I had already contacted before). Since I did not want to take chances, I had to cancel the order (on 21st August 2022) and was still penalized with 2.5% for cancellation. If the mattress was 10" like the description mentions, I would not have needed to cancel that order.
Why should I be penalized with INR 948 for the cancellation when the misrepresentation and ambiguity lies with Pepperfry's product information page on their website ?
