Punjab National Bank [PNB] — Harashing a senior citizens by bank

My father is a senior citizens while deposit in bank they are demanding id proof copy.this acount is their personal account and they have their passbook with them but they are not consider anything.even when my father aadar card number is
attached with this account. Their is no any Kind of notice Regarding this in bank. Their senior officer are Also not doing anything in this matter if this is compulsory then Why there is nothing notifications like thing.
