Raksha Health Insurance TPA — Mediclaim Bill Settlement
Given below are 2 Screenshots of Claim Settlement Letters of Raksha TPA for Oriental Insurance Co, and of HDFC Ergo for your reference and records. There is a Very Important Difference between the two, as the Instructions for Amount Deducted from the Hospital Final Bill, to be Paid by the Patient or Not. While Raksha TPA has Clearly asked the Insured to Pay all the Deductions, HDFC Ergo has asked the Hospital Not to Charge it from the Patient. Reasons for Deductions are Mainly Not Payable or Wrong/High Charged Amounts by the Hospital, and has No Concern with the Policy Terms and Conditions Mostly. It seems from both the Instructions, as if HDFC Ergo Prefers the Customer for Protection against Wrong Charges, but Raksha TPA Prefers the Hospital for Recovery of the Deducted Amounts, despite being Non Permissible/Payable. Surprisingly the Hospital Obeys the Instructions of the TPA and Insurance Company Both, without any Question. May I request you to Look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest, in order to Safeguard the Interest of the Policy Holder, who is Being Looted by the Hospitals ( Particularly the Patients having Insurance Policy to Pay their Bills even if TPA or Insurance Company don't Pay the Wrong or Extraneous Charges ). Moreover these Hospitals have Many Types of Rates Fixed for Different Patients like Cash/Emergency/ICU/OPD/Govt Employees/Defence/Insured under Mediclaim etc etc. Also More Surprisingly the Rates Differ from Company to Company, as per the Terms of MOU Was this information helpful?
