Regional Passport Office Guwahati — Regarding the response on reissuing of surrender passport

Respected Sir/ Madam

I have applied for passport on 01/08/13 with file number GU[protected] and received my passport in the moth of march. But their was some criminal case found against me. I called by RPO guwahati to surrender the passport and provide proper explanation for this criminal case. i have provided proper explanation and submitted attested copy of the case settlement order issued form court, surrender my passport and applied for re-verification. Then the Regional passport officer replied that after the police verification found clear, he will release the passport.


After that i have my home town for permanent police verification. the police verification report has been forwarded around in the first week of may. But still i was getting the same status as after the application of re-verification.

then i visited the PRO guwahati on 09/06/14 for inquiry and there they replied me that now you have submit the original case settlement order. i replied that have already submitted the attested copy of this case settlement order before two month and at that time the regional passport officer has not inform me that next time you have to come with the original case settlement order, instead of that, he inform me that after the police verification found clear they will release the passport, there is no need to come.

but now they are asking me to submit original one. then i requested the the working member of RPO guwahti, that i want to have discussion with Regional passport officer. they replied that he will not want to meet you.

then i Return back to my room in IIT Guwahati. it is not possible for me to submit the original copy of case settlement order b/C it is in my permanet home and after ten days i have to leave IIT Guwahti, because my Research work is over.

I don't think it is fault of mine. It is fault of your Regional passport officer, who has provided me the wrong information before two month and i am going to suffer not your regional passport officer.

Now, tell what i can do? So, my request to you please provide the proper information to your regional passport officer. So that next time no one is going to suffer like me.
