Reliance Digital — laptop serial number not matching due to laptop replace | |||
Hi there, I am struggling to get my laptop repair which was in warranty when i submitted. When i purchased the laptop (With extended 2 years of warranty) the same day i found a bright big hole in screen i went back to the reliance digital store and they denied to accept it and asked me to deal with dell customer care to get it replaced my own, i did and it got it replaced within a month. Now i again was facing some issues in laptop when my dell warranty was over but it was still in extended warranty, so i submitted it to one resq center, but they said the serial number on the bill is not matching with the laptop (Because it was replaced remember), i called the shop from where i purchased and he asked me to send the bill copy as well as the documents copy that i got while the laptop replaced. I sent him that, but this happened at the last day of my warranty. Now after few days when i called him back to check the status he is saying we can't do anything as the warranty has gone, but i already submitted the laptop when it was in warranty, he is saying you should have gone to the same reliance digital store from where you purchased to get the serial number updated on the bill, but i said nobody informed me or called me for the same, how could i know what is your process or what is the significance of the serial number on the bill, even i didn't know there is something called serial number you guys ll need in future when i ll raise the repair request within warranty. All i remember is the agents who were showing me laptops, bagging me to please take extended warranty it ll save your money if anything happens in next two years of dell warranty and blah blah blah, but they really didn't care about anything once i purchased the laptop and extended warranty, they even didn't bother when i went to them the same day when i found the laptop is defected, i am totally disappointed with your services and behavior. What i need is to get my laptop repaired as i submitted this within warranty, i am not going to take it back without getting it repaired.
